Wix CEO backs Willow as startup raises $7 million for AI agent control layer

Platform aims to bring visibility and governance to enterprise AI deployments.

Willow has raised $7 million in a Seed round. The company was founded by two former Wix executives and received its first investment from Wix co-founder and CEO Avishai Abrahami and Wix President Nir Zohar. The round was led by Hetz Ventures.
Today, 79% of companies already implement AI agents within their organizations, and 73% operate multi-agent systems. These digital workers are quickly becoming a central part of the modern enterprise infrastructure. However, the rapid adoption of AI agents has not been matched by corresponding protection, oversight, and governance mechanisms, leading to misuse, errors, and unexpected, and sometimes harmful, outcomes. According to a survey published this year, 65% of companies reported incidents involving AI agents over the past 12 months. As AI agents become more prevalent within organizations, operating continuously in the background and gaining access to internal tools, the need for oversight and control is becoming critical.

Willow is building infrastructure to protect organizations against one of the fastest-growing and least-managed threats in the enterprise today. The company’s management and access layer provides organizations with full transparency and control over how AI agents and AI tools connect to internal systems, and what actions they are permitted to perform. The platform allows organizations to identify which AI agents employees are already using, monitor for risky or unauthorized integrations, and apply precise controls over how agents interact with organizational systems and data.
“Today, businesses face an impossible dilemma: either lock down AI because it can’t be trusted, or allow AI agents to operate with unrestricted access to systems and information and hope nothing goes wrong,” said Eyal Ben Ezra, CEO and co-founder of Willow. “Willow offers another option. It gives organizations the control they need to truly embrace AI without losing oversight. By providing full transparency into how each AI agent is deployed, we enable companies to govern every action the agent takes, significantly reduce the attack surface, and gain the confidence needed to deploy AI agents at scale.”
Avishai Abrahami, co-founder and CEO of Wix, said: “Thousands of Wix employees use AI agents every day, and at our scale, visibility and control over those agents are absolutely critical. To safely accelerate AI adoption, we need governance, guidance, and full transparency across the company. Willow delivers exactly that.”
Willow’s management team includes former Wix employees, including founders Eyal Ben Ezra (CEO), Shalev Shalit (CTO), and Idan Chetrit. Over the past year, the company has worked closely with several development partners, including Wix. Willow is based in Herzliya.
