SailPoint acquires Israeli cyber startup Entro Security in $200 million deal
Acquisition strengthens SailPoint's push into the fast-growing market for securing non-human identities.
American identity security company SailPoint is continuing to deepen its presence in the Israeli market with the acquisition of Israeli startup Entro Security. Entro develops an advanced cybersecurity platform for mapping, managing, and protecting non-human identities. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed, but Calcalist has learned that the deal is valued at approximately $200 million.
The rapid adoption of cloud infrastructure and SaaS services in recent years has led to an explosion in the number of unmanaged non-human identities within organizations, including API keys, tokens, service accounts, and machine credentials. According to industry studies, non-human identities outnumber human identities by a factor of 45. In a company with 1,000 employees, for example, there are on average about 45,000 non-human identities.
Entro's platform enables security teams to fully automate the management of these identities while providing real-time threat detection and response capabilities. The system delivers a comprehensive inventory of non-human identities, centralizing all relevant data in one place and providing critical context for security teams.
Among Entro's customers are Booking.com, SolarWinds, Elastic, KAYAK, and Regatta Great Outdoors.
Entro Security was founded in October 2022 by Itzik Alvas (CEO) and Adam Shriki (CTO). Since its inception, the company has raised a total of $24 million. Its most recent funding round was an $18 million Series A led by Dell Technologies Capital, with participation from existing investors StageOne Ventures and Hyperwise Ventures.
The company's Seed round also included prominent industry angels, among them Imperva founder Mickey Boodaei and cybersecurity executive Rakesh Loonkar.
Entro employs dozens of people in Israel and the United States, who are expected to join SailPoint's development operations in Israel following the acquisition. The non-human identity security market is currently considered one of the hottest sectors in Israeli cybersecurity, with companies such as Oasis Security and Astrix Security, acquired by Cisco, also operating in the space.
The acquirer, SailPoint, is a global leader in identity security and identity governance and administration (IGA). The company was previously acquired by private-equity giant Thoma Bravo in a $6.9 billion deal and has long pursued a strategy of expansion through acquisitions and complementary technologies.
The acquisition of Entro Security is not SailPoint's first move in Israel. In August 2025, the company acquired the core assets of Israeli startup Savvy, which developed a platform for securing enterprise SaaS applications.
By combining Savvy's technology with Entro Security's platform, SailPoint aims to offer enterprises a comprehensive identity security platform that protects both human users and the growing network of machine-to-machine identities.
