Former Palo Alto Networks engineering executive joins the Agentic AI cybersecurity startup as it expands its continuous offensive security platform.

Terra Security, a cybersecurity startup developing an Agentic AI-powered continuous offensive security platform, has announced the appointment of Shay Marom as VP R&D. In his new role, Shay will lead the company’s engineering organization and help scale Terra’s AI-native platform as the company expands its technology and enterprise customer base.
Marom brings more than a decade of experience in cybersecurity, low-level systems engineering, and large-scale security infrastructure. Before joining Terra Security, he held senior engineering leadership roles at Palo Alto Networks, where he worked on Cortex XDR and managed engineering teams of up to 100 engineers focused on endpoint security technologies and large-scale infrastructure. Earlier in his career, he also held engineering roles focused on security infrastructure and large-scale systems development.

“Shay joins Terra at a defining moment for both cybersecurity and AI,” said Shahar Peled, Co-Founder and CEO of Terra Security. “As attackers increasingly leverage AI to move faster and operate continuously, security teams need fundamentally different technologies to keep up. Shay brings deep expertise in building large-scale security systems and products, and his experience will play a major role as we continue expanding Terra’s Agentic AI platform and redefining how offensive security is done.”
Founded in 2024 by Shahar Peled and Gal Malachi, Terra Security develops a continuous offensive security platform powered by Agentic AI. The company combines teams of specialized AI agents with a Human-in-the-Loop model to continuously test and validate exploitable vulnerabilities across web applications, internal systems, APIs, AI environments, cloud infrastructure, and network environments.
The company has raised $38 million to date from investors including Felicis, Dell Technologies Capital, SVCI, SYN Ventures, LAMA Partners, and Underscore VC. Terra Security operates in Israel and the United States.
