Sharon Seemann joins Lama Partners as a partner
Former YL Ventures executive brings a decade of value-creation and marketing experience.
Sharon Seemann, until recently a partner at the cybersecurity-focused fund YL Ventures, has joined venture capital firm Lama Partners (formerly FXP Ventures) as a partner.
Seemann served as a partner and chief marketing officer at YL Ventures for the past decade, where she established the fund’s marketing department and was among the first in Israel to build a structured value-creation platform designed to help portfolio companies with growth and market penetration.
In her new role at Lama Partners, Seemann will lead the development of the fund’s brand and the establishment of a global expert network. She will also work closely with entrepreneurs from the earliest stages on shaping marketing strategy and go-to-market execution.
Lama Partners was founded in 2021 based on the premise that early-stage entrepreneurs, particularly first-time founders, need investors who understand the challenges of building companies from the ground up. The fund was established by Gil Zimmermann, Ron Zalkind, and Tsahy Shapsa, co-founders of CloudLock, the cloud security company acquired by Cisco in 2016 for approximately $300 million.
In early 2025, as part of the firm’s expansion, Roy Katznelson joined Lama Partners as a Partner, bringing prior investment experience from leading venture capital firms, alongside Michal Krimolovsky Junio, who joined as Head of Operations. The team manages a $50 million Seed fund and venture studio focused on cybersecurity and AI.
The fund’s investors include senior figures from global industry as well as partners at leading venture capital firms such as Insight Partners, Battery Ventures, Bessemer Venture Partners, and CRV. Lama Partners’ portfolio includes companies such as Terra Security and Orion, along with several additional startups that have not yet been publicly disclosed.
