Artlist reaches $300 million ARR as it bets on AI video workflows
The startup's new platform seeks to solve consistency and control challenges in generative content.
Artlist, the Israeli video creation company that has been repositioning itself as an artificial intelligence platform, has launched a new product aimed at reshaping how professional video content is produced. The release of Artlist Studio, an AI-based production environment, comes as the company reports a sharp acceleration in growth, with annual recurring revenue reaching $300 million at the start of 2026.
The milestone follows a year of rapid expansion. In January, Artlist disclosed that it had ended 2025 with $260 million in annual recurring revenue, representing 50% year-over-year growth. Over the same period, the company broadened its product portfolio, hired 120 employees, and grew its workforce to around 500 people.
The early months of 2026 suggest that transition is gaining traction. According to the company, new user growth in the first quarter rose by 600% compared with the same period a year earlier, helping to drive the jump in revenue.
At the center of that momentum is Artlist Studio, which the company describes as an attempt to move beyond the limitations of current generative AI tools. While much of today’s AI-driven content creation relies on iterative text prompts, Artlist is betting that professional creators, and the studios they work in, require a more structured and controllable environment.
The new platform is designed to mimic the workflow of a traditional film production. Users can manage elements typically handled in pre-production and on set, including casting, locations and camera angles, within a unified interface.
“Artlist Studio is designed to remove the logistical barriers in the creative process,” said Roee Peled, the company’s chief product and technology officer. “We’ve built a platform that gives creatives more control with AI, closer to real-world production.”
Artlist was founded in 2016 by four entrepreneurs, video editors and musicians from Kibbutz Afikim: Ira Belsky, Co-founder and Co-CEO; Itzik Elbaz, Co-founder and Co-CEO, with an extensive technological background; and Eyal Raz and Asaf Eyalon. The company operated for many years as a bootstrapped business until 2020, when it raised $48 million from KKR. It later acquired several companies, including Motion Array and FXhome, significantly expanding its product portfolio.
