Canopy appoints Avi Revivo as CTO and GM Israel
“His joining will help us realize the full potential of AI in oncology, significantly increase the value we provide to our clients, and create real impact in patients’ lives,” said Founder and CEO Lavi Kwiatkowsky.
Israeli-American med-tech company Canopy, which developed a platform for continuous oncology care, has appointed Avi Revivo as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and Managing Director of its Israeli site. In this role, he will be responsible for overseeing the company's activities in Israel and for managing and implementing its global technology strategy.
“I’m excited to join Canopy and take part in our important mission of saving the lives of cancer patients through innovative technology,” said Revivo. “We already have an excellent team, and we are continuing to grow and recruit more talented product and technology professionals. Together, we will take our platform to the next level and accelerate development and innovation through artificial intelligence.”
Revivo joins the company with more than 15 years of experience in leading technology and product in the startup ecosystem and global growth companies. Before joining Canopy, he founded two startup companies where he served as Chief Product and Technology Officer. He also served as CTO at ironSource, which merged with gaming giant Unity, and led large development teams at NICE.
“We are in the midst of a breakthrough period for Canopy,” added Founder and CEO Lavi Kwiatkowsky. “We are already supporting about 10% of all oncology care in the U.S., and we are now integrating advanced artificial intelligence into our patient monitoring capabilities, with the goal of saving lives and continuing to improve the quality of oncology care. We’re looking for talented individuals who want to join us in this mission. Avi’s appointment as CTO and GM Israel is part of our innovation strategy. His joining will help us realize the full potential of AI in oncology, significantly increase the value we provide to our clients, and create real impact in patients’ lives.”
Canopy was founded in 2018 and has raised $18 million. Its platform helps clinics transition from episodic in-clinic care to continuous treatment throughout the patient journey. The continuous model, which includes remote patient monitoring, has been shown in clinical studies to improve outcomes and survival rates.
