Wix launches Wix Capital Accelerator to support early-stage Israeli startups

The program is designed for pre-Seed and Seed-stage startups operating in core strategic fields relevant to Wix to help provide better experiences for site visitors on a variety of services

SaaS website builder platform Wix has announced the launch of the Wix Capital Accelerator Program, designed to recruit several Israel-based pre-Seed and Seed-stage companies. The program aims to help companies that are creating disruptive business platforms, tools, and management solutions for SMBs and their customers, as well as AI, deep learning, and LLM-based solutions.
“With the launch of the Wix Accelerator Program, we are unlocking new levels of growth for Wix, our users, and the companies involved,” said Lior Shemesh, CFO of Wix. “In the last several years, Wix has gone from a small startup to a multi-billion dollar business, but we haven’t forgotten where we started, which is why we are excited to facilitate an accelerator program. We are confident that these investments will deliver new tech innovations that allow these companies to flourish and in turn, benefit our business and our users as well. We look forward to kicking off this new endeavor and cultivating the next generation of technology leaders in Israel.”

The program is designed for Israeli startups operating in core strategic fields relevant to Wix to help provide better experiences for site visitors on a variety of services, such as eCommerce, bookings, restaurants, hotels, and more. Startups selected for the inaugural program will receive advisory and mentorship support in product, business development, and financing from Wix with relevant expertise. They will also have access to office space at the Wix Headquarters.
Wix Capital was launched in 2019 as a fund investor in startups that share Wix’s technology, innovation, and development mindset. The Accelerator Program will expand on this to cultivate a cohort of companies that assist with Wix’s growth strategy. Recruitment is now open on the Wix website.
