Sygnia replaces CEO for the second time in six months

Guy Segal will take the helm soon after the company had appointed Avi Golan CEO in March 2025. The reason for his departure is unclear.

Sygnia, a global incident response and cyber readiness team, announced that it has appointed Guy Segal as its new CEO, a second in 2025. Segal has been with Sygnia for nearly six years, holding senior leadership roles including Head of APJ, driving the initial build-out of the Managed Detection and Response (MDR) practice, and establishing the Corporate Development division.
The news comes merely six months after the company had appointed Avi Golan CEO in March 2025. The reason for his departure is unclear. Golan has recently taken on an investment role at Athena Capital.

"The appointment of Guy Segal as CEO reflects a long-term decision to build on Sygnia’s strong foundation and accelerate our leadership in incident response, MDR, and proactive services," the company said. "Avi Golan and the board mutually agreed to part ways. We wish Golan all the best in his future endeavors. Segal is a veteran of the company, having served for six years in various leadership roles. He is aligned with the Board’s vision of growth, and his appointment will ensure continuity for the company."
"I am honored to take on this role and excited about the road ahead," said Segal. "Sygnia’s strength has always been its professionalism, quality and people - the exceptional teams who stand by our clients in their most critical moments and help them emerge stronger. Our mission is clear: continue leading the world in incident response, while building long-term value for our clients through MDR and proactive services. With cyber wisdom as our foundation and innovation as our driver, we will keep raising the bar for excellence in cybersecurity."
