The company is cutting approximately 20 of its 60 employees and consolidating model development in Israel. The changes include the departure of VP of Research Ron Mokady, while CTO Misha Feinstein will take charge of R&D.

Israeli artificial intelligence company Bria.ai is laying off approximately 20 of its 60 employees as part of a corporate restructuring and reduction in operations.
As part of the changes, Ron Mokady, the company's VP of Research, has left. Mokady reported to Chief Technology Officer Misha Feinstein, who will remain at Bria and lead its research and development efforts, including continued development of the company's models and their integration into its core products.
The restructuring also involves downsizing the company's global model-development team, with those activities set to be consolidated within its Israeli team.

Founded by Dr. Yair Adato, Bria had raised $65 million by March 2025, when it announced a $40 million Series B round led by Red Dot Capital, with participation from Maor Investment, Entrée Capital, GFT Ventures, Intel Capital and In-Venture. CTech subsequently reported that the company had secured a Series B extension in September 2025, although the amount was not disclosed.
Bria develops AI models and a platform for generating and editing images, primarily for business customers. Its technology allows organizations to create visual content tailored to their brand identity, maintaining consistency across materials while enabling controlled edits and adjustments.
A central part of Bria's proposition is its approach to copyright and the use of training data. Unlike AI image-generation companies that have faced criticism and legal challenges over the use of material scraped from the internet, Bria says its models are trained exclusively on licensed content, with artists and copyright holders compensated for their contributions.
The company's technology includes an attribution engine designed to connect AI-generated content to the underlying training data and ensure that content owners receive compensation.
