Nvidia expands again in Israel, advancing new office project in Yokneam

Even as the chip giant plans a massive new campus in Kiryat Tivon, it is negotiating additional space at its longtime base.

Just days after Nvidia officially announced its intention to establish a massive new campus in Kiryat Tivon, Calcalist has learned that the company is simultaneously advancing plans to significantly expand its operations in Yokneam, where its main offices in Israel are currently located. The expansion will take place in a new building to be constructed for Nvidia by Melisron, from which the chipmaker already leases its existing offices in the city.
According to information obtained by Calcalist, Nvidia and Melisron are in advanced negotiations toward an agreement under which Nvidia would lease an additional 15,000 square meters of office space. The space would be built specifically for the company in a new building within the Shaar Yokneam employment zone, adjacent to its current offices. Planning approvals for the new building are currently underway.

Nvidia is the world’s most valuable company, with a market capitalization of approximately $4.57 trillion. The company has operated in Israel since 2019, following its $6.9 billion acquisition of Israeli networking firm Mellanox. Mellanox’s headquarters in Yokneam subsequently became Nvidia’s main center of operations in the country. Nvidia currently employs about 5,000 people in Israel, roughly 3,000 of whom work at its Yokneam offices.
Less than two weeks ago, Nvidia formally confirmed that it plans to establish a large campus in Kiryat Tivon. The planned campus is expected to span approximately 160,000 square meters, employ around 10,000 workers, and be built on roughly 90 dunams of state-owned land granted with an exemption from a public tender.
Against this backdrop, Nvidia’s plans to add a new building in Yokneam are viewed as reassuring news for the city’s leadership and residents. The move suggests that Nvidia does not intend to scale back its presence in Yokneam; rather, it plans to expand its activities there alongside the development of the new campus in Kiryat Tivon.
Nvidia and Melisron declined to comment.
