Amit Spitzer appointed CTO and CISO at Glilot Capital Partners
Spitzer was the first CISO and DPO at Cato Networks and held senior leadership positions in information security and technology at companies including ControlUp, Dome9 (acquired by Check Point), and ClickSoftware (acquired by Salesforce).
Amit Spitzer has been appointed CTO and CISO at Glilot Capital Partners. Spitzer brings 15 years of experience leading early-stage technology and innovation initiatives, with a strong focus on information security. He was the first CISO and DPO at Cato Networks and held senior leadership positions in information security and technology at companies including ControlUp, Dome9 (acquired by Check Point), ClickSoftware (acquired by Salesforce), as well as in Israel’s National Digital Agency under the Prime Minister’s Office.
Over the past three years, Amit has served as a Security Advisor within Glilot’s Advisory Board, supporting the firm’s portfolio companies and investment team. His appointment is aimed at strengthening the technological perspective in investment decision-making and supporting portfolio companies in addressing a wide range of challenges from security architecture to scaling, growth, and product development.
Glilot Capital Partners invests in early-stage startups in the fields of cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, enterprise software, and more. Founded in 2011 by Kobi Samboursky and Arik Kleinstein, Glilot was the first Israeli VC fund to specialize in cybersecurity. They were later joined by partners Nofar Amikam and Lior Litwak. Today, Glilot manages around $1 billion across seed and early growth funds and has recorded 21 exits to date.
