"Diversity is not a challenge for us, rather it’s an opportunity"

Gila Hayat, Co-Founder and CTO at Darrow, explains that having a diversified team has never been a struggle or something the company tried to artificially create

“In terms of diversity we are half and half,” Gila Hayat, Co-Founder and CTO at Darrow told CTech at the Power in Diversity event on Sunday. “It is interesting to be at diversity events and be praised for something that feels so natural. It has never been a struggle or something that we are trying to artificially create."
When asked what challenges they are seeing Hayat replied: “Generally, there are many challenges to overcome, including hiring from different geographies as we are 50/50 globally. But I dont view diversity as a KPI you need to meet, it's something you need to start with early. It's different from corporations that are trying to lean into that. It's not a challenge for us, rather it’s an opportunity."

Darrow, founded by two lawyers and a former member of the IDF's Unit 8200, has raised $24 million to date, including a $20 million Series A in November 2021. Darrow has developed a machine learning-based platform which discovers legal violations by some of the biggest corporations in the world.
