Encore AI raises $30 million Series A to teach AI agents how top employees work
Formerly known as Insait, the Israeli startup analyzes millions of customer interactions to turn the best sales and service practices into autonomous AI agents.
Encore AI, formerly known as Insait, has raised $30 million in a Series A funding round led by Team8 and Plaven, with participation from Garage, Lukatz, and several global financial institutions that initially became customers before deciding to invest in the company after seeing the platform's impact on their businesses. The new funding follows the Seed round the company completed after its founding in 2022.
Speaking to Calcalist, Dr. Dvir Ginzburg, Encore AI's CEO and co-founder, said: "We focus on every interaction a customer has with an organization. We analyze how service representatives perform those interactions today and use that knowledge to create AI agents that deliver a better customer experience."
"The new name represents the experience we want to create," he added. "Most interactions with AI today are frustrating and don't make people want to come back. Much of the technology behind today's AI assistants is our own. Now that the technology has matured, we're introducing a new generation of AI agents that people actually want to interact with."
Ginzburg said the company's technology was built on years of research. "We needed a deep infrastructure, and we developed one of the few platforms capable of combining structured numerical data with voice and text. Since the company was founded, we've been able to merge financial and insurance data into a unified understanding of the customer, and we're now applying those capabilities to AI agents that can communicate naturally with end users."
"Over time we realized that AI alone isn't enough," he added. "Many AI products have become flat and impersonal. We're bringing personalization back."
The company has developed an enterprise Agentic AI platform based on its patented Interaction Mining technology. The platform analyzes millions of customer interactions - including phone calls, chats, emails, landing pages and CRM data - across sales, collections, customer service and support. It identifies the behaviors and work patterns that consistently produce the best business outcomes and transforms them into either autonomous AI agents or a real-time "Wingman" assistant that supports human representatives during live conversations.
The goal is to help organizations increase revenue, improve efficiency and deliver better customer experiences.
Encore was founded in 2022 by Dr. Dvir Ginzburg, an AI entrepreneur and researcher. He earned his Ph.D. from Tel Aviv University in Geometric Deep Learning and previously worked at Microsoft, where he focused on recommendation systems, personalization and language technologies. His research centered on identifying patterns within large-scale behavioral datasets, technology that now forms the foundation of Encore's platform.
"It's essential to use every available source of organizational knowledge to build AI agents that serve both the customer and the business," Ginzburg said. "Many of the investors in this round are also customers, including Harel, Bank Leumi and Garage, which reflects the value they're already getting from the platform."
"At no point did we feel AI was hurting our business. On the contrary, it accelerated demand."

Encore primarily serves banks, insurance companies, healthcare providers and other organizations where customer interactions directly affect business performance.
"We work with organizations where delivering a personalized customer experience is critical to building long-term customer relationships," Ginzburg said.
The company currently employs around 50 people, including 35 in Israel, with the remainder based in New York and Australia. Its platform is deployed at more than 30 organizations across Israel, Australia, Europe and the United States.
The new funding will be used to expand deployments among enterprise customers worldwide, accelerate product development and grow the company's commercial operations.
