ISRAEL AT WAR
Nvidia’s Jensen Huang supports Israel amid “living nightmare”, mourns death of daughter of Mellanox founder Eyal Waldman

Huang sent a letter to employees in Israel offering support and condolences to Eyal Waldman, the founder of Mellanox, acquired by Nvidia for $7 billion in 2019, after Waldman's daughter, Danielle, and her partner, Noam Shai, a former Nvidia employee, were murdered by Hamas terrorists

Jensen Huang, the CEO of chip giant Nvidia, sent a letter to employees in Israel offering support and condolences to Eyal Waldman, the founder of Mellanox. Waldman's daughter, Danielle, and her partner, Noam Shai, who is also a former Nvidia employee, were murdered by Hamas terrorists last Saturday while attending the Supernova music festival near Kibbutz Re’im on the Gaza border.
Nvidia acquired Mellanox in 2019 for $7 billion and established a center in Israel based on the company. The center currently employs more than 3,000 people.
Huang was scheduled to visit Israel next week to lead Nvidia's main AI conference and participate in numerous events. However, due to the ongoing war, both the conference and his visit have been canceled.

“Jad and Nabih Amer are brothers who work at NVIDIA. They lost their brother, Jawad Akram, an IDF soldier, in the line of duty.
“Avinatan Or, our colleague in our VLSI team, and his girlfriend, Noa, are being held by the terrorists. We are in close contact with his family and are offering our support. We hope for your safe return.
“I extend my deepest condolences to our families who have suffered immense loss. We are grieving with you.
“The world follows the news out of Israel with horror. The scale and brutality of the attacks and the suffering they inflict are difficult to fathom. For our families in Israel, the news is a living nightmare.
“We have 3,300 NVIDIA families and many friends in Israel. Hundreds of our employees have returned to military duty. Our thoughts are constantly with you, and we hope for your safe return.
“Many families must evacuate their homes. With incredible acts of kindness, hundreds of NVIDIANs are volunteering their support and making room in their homes for NVIDIA families who have left their neighborhoods for safety. We will provide those families with whatever help they need.
“Local HR and security teams will continue to check in to ensure you are all safe and look for ways to help. We have counseling services for those in need. For those traveling abroad, we are helping them return home.
“We are also implementing a global campaign to help contribute to humanitarian efforts. Our company will match all donations dollar-for-dollar in addition to the Inspire 365 match.
“Nothing is more important than the safety of your family. NVIDIANs worldwide will rise to cover for our colleagues in Israel and pick up and offload whatever work you need. We are here for you.”
