Ramat David Air Base may have been hit during latest Israel-Iran escalation

Satellite comparison suggests potential damage near key Israeli Air Force hangar.

Analysis of satellite images published online by the company Soar suggests that a hangar at Ramat David Air Force Base, near Migdal HaEmek, may have been damaged during the latest escalation with Iran. In the image, which was taken yesterday at low resolution and compared with an image from June 5, a mark or discoloration can be seen where the hangar is believed to have been located. It is unclear what was inside the structure or the extent of the damage, and the IDF has not provided any details. The report, it should be emphasized, is published with the approval of military censorship.

In addition to the alleged damage during the latest escalation, satellite images published last month indicated that Ramat David Air Force Base was hit in two separate areas during Operation “Roaring Lion.” One of the affected areas appears to have been used for support vehicles and equipment, while the other was a refueling and service point for fighter jets.
Five squadrons are stationed at Ramat David Air Force Base, where F-16 aircraft and UAVs operate. Throughout the war, the base, located about 50 km from the Lebanese border, has frequently been targeted by Hezbollah. In 2024, Hezbollah published documentation from a drone showing parts of the base, including aircraft fuel tanks, the headquarters of Squadron 109, an Iron Dome battery, ammunition depots, the headquarters of Squadron 157, hangars, and the headquarters of Squadron 105.
Hezbollah also released footage of the base commander’s office, revealing its layout. Additional footage showed depots and headquarters belonging to Squadrons 101 and 160, as well as the technical area of Squadron 193. Officers’ quarters, alleged F-16 hangars, and the control tower were also filmed. The footage reportedly included Apache helicopters, fuel depots, and Hercules transport aircraft.
