ICL signs potash supply deal with India’s largest importer
Agreement covers 375,000 tons of potash, with an option for additional volumes under a long-term supply framework.
ICL has signed a new supply agreement with Indian Potash Limited (IPL), India’s largest importer of potash, extending a key commercial relationship in one of the world’s most important fertilizer markets.
Under the agreement, ICL will supply 375,000 metric tons of potash over the coming year, with an option to provide an additional 50,000 metric tons. The material will be sold at the current market price in India of $383 per ton on a CIFFO basis at Indian ports.
The deal falls under a broader five-year supply agreement between ICL and IPL covering the period from 2022 to 2027.
India remains one of the largest global consumers of potash, a key fertilizer used to improve crop yields and agricultural productivity. Securing annual supply agreements is an important component of the country's efforts to support its agricultural sector and ensure access to critical nutrients for farmers.
