Remitly appoints Maya Roisman to lead its Israeli operations
The former Fiverr executive succeeds Rewire founder Guy Kashtan, who is stepping down after Remitly acquired the Israeli fintech in 2022.
Nasdaq listed fintech company Remitly has appointed Maya Roisman as General Manager of its Israeli operations. Roisman succeeds Guy Kashtan, founder of Israeli startup Rewire, which was acquired by Remitly in 2022.
In her new role, Roisman will lead the company’s strategy and business operations in Israel, with a focus on expanding its local activity and establishing strategic partnerships.
Roisman brings approximately 18 years of experience to the role. Most recently, she served as GM Fiverr Business Solutions, VP Upmarket, where she developed complex monetization programs and transformed the division into a key growth engine for the company. Prior to that, she served as GM of Gett Delivery Israel, managing an independent business unit and leading its commercial and operational strategy.
Kashtan, who founded Rewire and served as General Manager of Remitly Israel, said: “After years of exciting work, from founding Rewire and navigating its acquisition to building and leading a financial solution for foreign workers and their employers, I am handing over the reins with full confidence. The proven business experience Maya brings in building profit centers, combined with her ability to lead a business at the highest level, is exactly what the company needs right now to continue growing in the Israeli market.”
Roisman said: “Remitly’s business potential in Israel is immense, and my primary goal is to leverage this momentum alongside the company’s global platform. Together, we can deepen our presence in the local market, unlock new growth engines, reach new audiences and strengthen strategic partnerships.”
