Standing here today in New York is especially meaningful. Because entrepreneurship is never just about business. It's about resilience, and choosing to move forward, even when the world feels uncertain, and entrepreneurs understand this deeply. We built companies while building communities, and look at this community," said Noa Tamir, CEO of Calcalist, at the Yazamiyot female entrepreneurship event at Calcalist and Leumi’s Mind the Tech New York 2026 conference.
Today is also a moment to pause and appreciate what we already have. Our strengths, our partnerships, our freedom to create, and the extraordinary privilege of coming together in this room – it really is not taken for granted. We all know that when women grow, the ecosystem grows, and when women lead, the future expands."
Maya Eisen Zafrir, CEO of Leumitech, followed suit: "The stand here, and throughout this entire day, the power of women in this room was very much felt. We saw great representation on so many panels. In one of my earlier conversations today, someone asked me if I wanted to sit next to her. She said she had read a study that women tend to sit in the back. So ever since she read that study, she has been making sure to choose the front rows.
"For us, I think all the rows are full of women, and we definitely understand the power of this system – to share, to connect, to offer comments, and even to offer feedback that sometimes isn't so pleasant to hear. It's part of what it takes to be in a system that cares about its members, that wants to move things forward and make things happen. It's a great privilege to be here alongside so many activities and amazing women. It definitely makes a difference."
