Team8 appoints Galia Beer-Gabel as Managing Partner in New York

Focus will be on embedding AI and secure infrastructure into financial institutions.

Team8 has appointed Galia Beer-Gabel as Managing Partner in New York. Beer-Gabel, a founding architect of Team8’s fintech platform, has spent six years developing the firm’s collaborations between banks, entrepreneurs, and technologists.
In her new role, Beer-Gabel will lead the firm’s efforts to co-create companies with founders and industry partners, embedding AI, data intelligence, and secure digital infrastructure into banks’ core operations. “Our venture creation model brings together deep domain expertise, hands-on company building, and direct access to enterprise challenges, giving founders a head start in shaping solutions the market truly needs,” she said.

Her promotion reflects a broader trend in banking: institutions are moving from isolated AI pilots to enterprise-wide transformation, applying technology to real-time decision-making, compliance, and customer engagement. Team8 aims to accelerate these efforts by combining startup agility with the operational scale of established banks.
“Galia’s appointment is more than a new title, it’s a strategic signal,” said Rakefet Russak-Aminoach, Managing Partner at Team8. “When we launched the fintech platform in 2020, there was no team, no portfolio, just conviction in a new kind of model. Today, it spans embedded finance, AI, and next-gen fintech, and Galia has been at the heart of it.”
